It's batizado time!!! Welcome roda is on Tuesday 9/28, there will be day and evening workshops Wednesday through Saturday, and the batizado will take place on Sunday. For more details, check the schedule.

All workshops & rodas will take place at the CBLA Academy in Los Angeles, and the batizado itself will take place at AdventurePlex in Manhattan Beach.

Sunday, Feb 7, 11 AM - 3 PM, here at the CBLB academy. Capoeira for Haitian Relief. Three hours of workshops led by Professor Estyllo, Instrutor Bob, Instrutora Ursa, and others TBA. We will be collecting donations, and 100% of proceeds will go directly to the American Red Cross to aid their disaster relief efforts in Haiti. This event is open to all capoeiristas, and is a fantastic opportunity for us to give to those in need while doing what we love to do (play capoeira). Come support this event!!! CBLA Batizado!!!! Workshops (Sept 8 - 12) take place at the Los Angeles Academy. Batizado starts at 11 AM on Sunday, September 13 at Adventure Plex in Manhattan Beach Mestre Boneco has invited Mestres and other high level capoeiristas from throughout the United States as well as Europe, Australia, and (of course) Brazil, so this is a great opportunity to observe and learn from some of the very best capoeiristas in the world.

Saturday, May 9. Fight Night XI!!!! (That's eleven, for those of you don't read Roman.) CBLB will be performing at Power Kick's biannual kickboxing event. There are nine fights scheduled -- the first fight starts at 5:00 PM. There is no cover, but 100% of donations will go the American Diabetes Association, so please give generously. Come support CBLB, support charity, and support our very own Camarão as he fights in his kickboxing debut! The event takes place here at the academy. Saturday, June 20. Congratulations to Anderson Chrysostomo and Margaret Nguyen on their upcoming wedding. CBLB will be performing on their special day. Capoeristas, please arrive by 6:00 PM.
